Working with local Miller Brewing Company distributors, UCP hosts the miniature golf tournament for three key purposes:

• Increase public awareness of UCP in the Kansas City area.
• Raise unrestricted funds for UCP programs and services.
• Cultivate new volunteers and future UCP supporters.

The 27-hole tournament is played on miniature golf holes constructed in participating bar & grill locations with the Greater Kansas City area. Each foursome plays one course (nine holes) only. Shuttle transportation is provided between holes for all players throughout the event.

The Barstool Open event was founded in Springfield, IL by the local UCP affiliate. Nationwide exposure through UCP, led the Kansas City Affiliate to begin the Kansas City Barstool Open nine years ago with the three objectives described previously. Every year has been successful for the Barstool, and with your help 2009 will be a record year for attendance and funds raised!

Currently the Kansas City Barstool Open is the largest event of its kind. Kansas City has shown tremendous support for UCP through participation in the Barstool Open, and the event has grown every year since inception.
